SingleStore Demo Videos
Demo: Utility IoT Real-Time Analytics on SingleStore Managed Service & Looker
Domenic Ravita, Field CTO of SingleStore, walks us through using SingleStore Managed Service, the managed, cloud-scale database cluster to ingest IoT utility meter data at 1M rows/sec, and highlights the speed of queries in this real-time analytics platform
Demo: SingleStore tore Scans A Trillion Rows Per Second
Eric Hanson, Principle Product Manager, shows how SingleStore tore scans a trillion rows per second in a query
Real-Time Analytics at Uber Scale
James Burkhart explains how Uber supports millions of analytical queries daily across real-time data with Apollo. James covers the architectural decisions and lessons learned building an exactly-once ingest pipeline storing raw events across in-memory row storage and on-disk columnar storage and a custom metalanguage and query layer leveraging partial OLAP result set caching and query canonicalization. Putting all the pieces together provides thousands of Uber employees with subsecond p95 latency analytical queries spanning hundreds of millions of recent events.
SingleStore Managed Service Tour
SingleStore Intro: SingleStore Studio Tour
In this video, we leverage a SingleStore Managed Service cluster provisioned previously, we login to the SingleStore Customer Portal, open SingleStore Studio Tools, a web-based cluster management tool and SQL Editor, look at the hosts and nodes in the cluster, look at the SQL Editor, and the Visual Explain tool.
SingleStore Intro: Create SingleStore Managed Service Cluster
In this video we’ll sign up for a free trial SingleStore Managed Service account, verify our email, login to the SingleStore Customer Portal, provision a free trial SingleStore Managed Service cluster, and open up SingleStore Studio, the web-based cluster management tool and SQL editor.
SingleStore Intro: Resize SingleStore Managed Service Cluster
In this video, we discuss nodes and partitions in a SingleStore database, and discuss how carefully matching the partition count and leaf node count avoids data skew, wasted memory in our cluster. We login to the SingleStore Customer Portal, connect to a SingleStore Managed Service cluster created previously, examine the partitions and nodes, and compute an appropriate new scale. Finally we edit the cluster to achieve the new scale. With the managed SingleStore Managed Service cluster, there’s no hardware to buy to get additional scale from our cluster.
