In late 2024, SingleStore acquired BryteFlow. We loved its no-code, easy-to-use, scalable nature. A key goal when bringing BryteFlow into our company was to make fast, easy, no-code data transfer from popular source databases available to anyone moving data to SingleStore.
The result of the acquisition is SingleStore Flow, which today can transfer data from MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server and Snowflake into SingleStore without need to write a single line of code.
Flow supports continuous CDC, enabling real-time analytics on SingleStore for data born in these other database products (the only exception is Snowflake, for which we support one-time parallel loads).
Today, SingleStore customers use Flow in two main ways:
Doing one-time migrations from source systems to SingleStore
Performing initial migrations followed by ongoing CDC into SingleStore
Either way, Flow delivers tremendous labor savings compared with the traditional approaches of migrating data by exporting data, manually splitting large tables and writing applications or scripts to bulk load data and do CDC. Flow shrinks timelines for data migration and CDC projects from weeks or months to days, easily paying for itself in labor cost reduction alone — not to mention the business benefits of bringing new applications up and running sooner.
Flow costs a fraction of the price of popular competing data transfer and CDC tools, and is easier to set up and use. New users are able to set up Flow and begin transferring data in hours, not days.
Since December 2025 we have offered self-hosted Flow. Now, Flow is available as a fully-managed service on Single Store Helios®. See our additional blog and documentation for more information on Helios Flow. This makes data transfer and CDC even easier — no need to deploy hardware for, install or maintain Flow. We do it all for you!
We are committed to the success of our existing BryteFlow customers, and continue to provide full service and support for them.
Here are just some of the things we're contemplating as future enhancements to Flow:
Adding more source databases, including SingleStore itself
Merging Ingest and XL Ingest into a single, integrated service — with automatic slicing of large tables — to allow data transfer and CDC in a single step, making our already easy-to-use Flow product even easier
AI-enabled Flow setup and control — tell our Flow AI agent what to do, and it will do it
Full support of API access to Flow
Adding selected ERP application sources
