About
Elmer Lai is the Chief Financial Officer at SingleStore and brings more than 30 years of financial and operational leadership in the technology sector. Before joining SingleStore, he served as CFO at Acoustic, ClickSoftware and Autotask, where he helped guide high-growth SaaS businesses through major transformations, including ClickSoftware’s eventual acquisition by Salesforce and Autotask’s merger with Datto. Earlier in his career, Elmer was Chief Accounting Officer at HubSpot, playing a key role in its successful IPO, and held senior finance roles at Sonus Networks, Airvana and Razorfish. Over his career, he has helped lead multiple IPOs, take-private transactions and strategic acquisitions, building durable, data-driven financial foundations for subscription and SaaS businesses. Elmer holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA with a concentration in accounting from Boston University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
