In this blog post, Suresh Sathyamurthy, SingleStore's SVP of Marketing & Growth, talks about his first few months in his role - celebrating industry recognition, positive peer reviews and SingleStore’s amazing customers.
It's been just over a couple of months since I joined SingleStore to lead marketing and product-led growth initiatives. As I considered this job opportunity, I was fortunate to talk to one of the SingleStore customers to understand how and why they chose SingleStore over the many databases that are in the market. The CEO of this marketing analytics dashboard company indicated that after evaluating six other databases they realized SingleStore was the only one that met their performance, price, scale and ease of use needs for their data-intensive product. I knew we were on to a ground-breaking solution that solves important business challenges and convinced me to join the company.
My team works hard every day to inspire and inform customers about SingleStore. But what is more gratifying is when customers and industry analysts talk about us. When customers and leading tech research and advisory firms recognize your company with best-in-class, industry excellence and top-rated awards, and identify your platform as among the industry’s most significant, it is icing on the cake.
Take the example of Jack Ellis who called SingleStore the “database of our dreams” to build Fathom Analytics, the world fastest website analytics platform (and even wrote a blog on it here). These customers are not the only ones. You can read about more here.
Dresner Advisory Services recently recognized SingleStore with both an Industry Excellence Award and 2021 Best in Class designation. The advisory firm named SingleStore an Overall Leader in Analytical Data Infrastructure (ADI), placing us in the top right quadrant in both its Customer Experience and Vendor Credibility market models. This comes about six months after Dresner Advisory Services listed us as a leader in customer experience and vendor credibility, noting our perfect recommendation score and highlighting our best-in-class capabilities.
Also in July, Forrester identified us as among the most significant multimodel data platform providers. The Forrester Wave™: Multimodel Data Platforms, Q3 2021 called us “a strong performer”, and said “SingleStore has good query and access capabilities and drop-in replacement capability for MySQL and MariaDB.” It also noted our support for “diverse data models.”
But wait, there’s more! Shortly after I came aboard, TrustRadius recognized SingleStore with a 2021 Top Rated Award in Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) and Relational Databases categories. The firm based this award on reviews from verified users from the TrustRadius community.
Another indicator of peer success comes by way of our Gartner Peer Insight Reviews, a place many technology decision makers look to for candid customer feedback. SingleStore is grateful for having received numerous 5/5 star reviews from customers on this review site.
My first few months at SingleStore have been amazing. I look forward to helping SingleStore keep its culture of innovation – resulting in customer and industry recognition – going. These recognitions are a reflection of our customer focus.
