AI for Good

To extend the idea of AI for good, we're proud to announce $50,000 in free credits to a select few non-profit organizations to use SingleStoreDB to build AI applications that have a measurable, lasting impact on the community.

Like every innovation before it, AI bears the imprint of its creator. And like those innovations, the dichotomy between good and ill intentions makes itself known. As humans, we have a responsibility to decide what kind of future we want to create — especially one that harnesses advanced technology like artificial intelligence (AI).

For AI to truly be meaningful, we have to look beyond the technology itself — mainly, its impact. We have to explore how AI has the ability to amplify intelligence and strengthen our ability as humans to weave in emotion, intuition, spirituality and ethics.

The truth is, professions that require empathy will never be replaced by machines. At the very core of an artist is the empathy that he or she feels toward a subject or cause. At the heart of music is not the notes, but the longing for the listener to find an emotional connection to the piece.

Similarly, at the core of any AI is data. At SingleStore, we help companies manage that data, reasoning and contextualizing it in real time. This empowers our customers to do a world of good in real time. And when you bring data to AI with simplicity, speed and scale, you also bring about a massive,  positive impact.

To extend this idea of AI for good, I’m proud to announce $50,000 in free credits to a select few non-profit organizations to use SingleStoreDB to build AI applications that have a measurable, lasting impact on the community.

Our greatest strengths as humans lies in our ability to connect with one another — what makes us humans, are other humans. By coupling these human strengths with AI-generated innovations and insights, we amplify our intelligence and abilities. Ultimately, this makes us better humans.

AI doesn’t have free agency or conscience. Like I mentioned earlier, AI bears the will and imprint of its creators. That means the ethical responsibility to use this technology for good falls to us as leaders — the human in all of us will direct the future course of AI.
